The pastaworkshop was a simple idea inspired by the work of many others (grandmothers, good friends, DAAS alumni and participants).

Its aim wasto evoke the ‘art of the hands’, tacit knowledge that survives inside our bodies for generations and resurfaces when we try to do something like cooking traditional recipes in absurd quantities, but without really knowing how. 

It involved 10 kg of flour, 90 eggs and a whole neighborhood. We worked from 11am to 8pm and taught each other how to make pasta as we went along.
